1. Did my appearance on the Tyra show make me the: QUEEN OF CONTROVERSY?…

So a lot of people watched the Tyra show I was on. Congrats! Hope you enjoyed. Here is the 1st lesson in acting 101. When you go to ANY talk show, reality show, etc. the producers ALREADY KNOW what direction they want the show to go in, and they pick people with attitudes and personality to deliver and raise the ratings (which is EXACTLY what I did). How I feel about “Fat women”…do I think it’s sexy, No. Do I think it should be celebrated and applauded, no. Fact is its unhealthy. Hell I was the QUEEN of unhealthy. I went from fit n fine, to had a baby, to got lazy and started eating SHIT ((insert weight gain here)) and now i’m eating right again, and working out. I’m actually smaller now than I was when we shot the Tyra show on Sept 21-22 of ‘09. Did Tyra’s comments bother me? well, NO. because in actuality she was right. I have a problem with myself being fat and I just don’t get why some people think it’s “ok” and “sexy” and “fabulous”. I can’t STAND for a gorgeous diva to BOAST that she’s unhealthy, and there is no way in hell you can be TRULY happy if you are “obese”. Everyone should strive for health. Not a size 2….but for a healthy weight, a healthy and normal BMI which some people have not a CLUE what it stands for. Black women are already at risk for certain diseases before anyone else and when you go adding an unhealthy weight into the mix we are basically KILLING OURSELVES. We have children, husbands, mothers, grandparents, nieces and nephews to Live for that LOVE US and want us around as long as possible but most of us would rather “EMBRACE” BEING FAT than to do something about it and be healthy. These are all points that I made ON THE SHOW that were EDITED OUT BY THE PRODUCTION STAFF and all you seen was me saying the mean things they “requested” I say. I was there to put on a show and I did it. The comment I made about my cousin Lynette doing the Mo’Nique dance, well right after Tyra jumped down my throat about Mo’Nique making a “statement” to all the PHAT women in the world I politely said, and I understand that, but Mo’Nique has since lost weight, Toccara has since lost weight, Queen Latifah has since lost weight. Self love is AMAZING and EVERYONE SHOULD LOVE THEMSELVES…however, when your HEALTH and basically your life is at risk and your now Diabetic, have sleep apnea, are morbidly obese and have cardiovascular disease, asthma and Hypertension it’s no longer so cute now is it? you don’t want to celebrate THAT now do you? We have GOT to do better for ourselves as women. Stop Copping out and buying into the Body Magic scheme and know that OUR OWN BODIES CAN LOOK THAT WAY WITHOUT GADGETS! No one said it’s easy. Losing weight it NOT easy, it does NOT happen over night and there is NO magic pill. Anything worth having (life and health) should be worth working for though. That’s just MY opinion. I struggle everyday, I want fast food, I want to sleep in but my daughter and being here for her is waaaay more important than my “Ode to being thick”. THAT is how I feel about “Fat” women. For those of you that are working to better yourself like I am, I applaud you, your effort, and i’m with you in your struggle. Know that it will be well worth it. For those of you that are Fat, Lazy, don’t want to even “try” to change for the better, think you’re GOD’S GIFT to the earth and get MAD when people make comments about you, you are exactly who I DON’T feel sorry for. You make excuses about a medical condition that only 1/4th of obese American’s can actually blame for their weight gain.:: (did you know that skipping soda and having water or crystal light saves you 100s of calories a day and that just WALKING 10 min a day can burn the same amount of calories that you saved?):: yeah, baby steps that your ass isn’t even willing to take. you have SEVERAL FREE resources online, meal plans, exercise moves that can be done in your living room with water bottles or canned goods…but I’m the “bad guy”. No Ma’am. I didn’t do that to you. YOU are doing it to yourself…That is how I TRULY feel about us women and our weight. Like it, Love it, Hate it. I really could care less. Moral of the story is, there are PLENTY of ways to die….why CHOOSE to let Obesity be a possible one?
